Challenge #74

Challenge #74 is the last challenge of 2012, we will be back with our next one on January 7th.

For this challenge we're concentrating on those who have Birthdays in December, especially around the Christmas week.
As it's my Birthday on the 19th and we had little money (nothing changes lol) as I was growing up, I didn't have much as Christmas was just around the corner. I was always grateful for what I did get though, I especially looked forward to the pens and colouring books I got, I'd colour in one and Mum would colour the other...happy days :)
I often wonder how many others had the same thing happen to them.
It was hard enough to juggle money for my parents as it was without the added expense of 2 lots of pressies within a week (3 including my bro's)

Anyhoo, I'm wittering.....to recap, the challenge is Birthdays at Christmas.
I really looking forward to what you have to show us for this one :D

Here what the girls have made for us :D

New Design Team Member!!!!!

I'm so excited to announce we have a new DT member :)
Please welcome Crafting Vicky, who has agreed to join us @ DD's
Welcome Vicky, it's so great to have you on our team, I hope you enjoy working with us :D
I'm sure you will be a valuable asset to us :)

Here's a bit of info about Vicky for those that don't know her.

I'm an accountant working full time and a mother of 4 great kids.  I have an amazing husband who understand that in order to keep my sanity through all this I need to craft ;) I live in Quebec, Canada, so a lot of my crafting is done with French sayings.

I have been crafting over 21 years and tried my hands at all kinds of techniques over the years.  I'm new to the blogging world. I have started blogging in March in order to join challenges.  I became totally hooked!!!!  I can't believe this world existed and I only found out about it now.  I see blogging as a wonderful opportunity to improve my card making abilities.

I have realized that through the web I get to meet amazing people from all over the world and learn from them.  I'm in awe of all the wonderful blogs that I see and I hope that one day my blog will be up to that level.

Challenge #73

This challenge is 'Anything Goes' :)
You can enter with anything you like, as long as it's a current project.
Here a Mandy's & Emma's creations, I think you'll love what they made :D

Mandy
I have used Christmas Window and enclosed a close up picture as I printed the image many times and made the following layers.

Bottom (layer 1) - Window frame on patterned paper (for wallpaper) stuck to a card base covered with brick paper.
Layer 2 - Window frame and tree only (with glittered star & baubles)
Layer 3 - Window frame and Curtains
Layer 4 - Window Frame & Robin (with puffy paint snowdrifts)
Layer 5 - Widow ledge and Robin
Layer 6 - Robin
All layers are stuck together with a thin dimensional foam so even though there are so many layers it is only 2cm thick.

Emma

HAPPY CRAFTING :D
